I hope we do see some in Luxor

We've just had a boxing match in the garden :oo
Our little one bought a sibling along this evening, they were both waiting when we went out, so trotted off up to the top terrace whilst we put the food down. They came straight back down, so did a larger fox & took all the fluffies away, but only after it & the little one stood on their hind legs boxing at each other, they looked like a couple of March Hares. A 3rd little one also came down & followed the adult so I'm not sure who that was. Whilst the match was going on a hedgehog walked in between all 3 of them to get to the HH house
All 4 down again, the 3rd one is even more beautiful, it is smaller & a pale sand colour We think the big one os Tufty (Dad we suspect) so that probably means there are more at home if he's taking food back
Kinnie just went out & 2 stood side by side a couple of feet away from him while the sandy 1 stood on the side of the pond. They are really inquiitive, investigating the HH & wanting to know what Kinnie is.
Midnight & have had to put more food out, Mums 2 cubs have come down, they have both inherited Kinkies very long kinked tail

Sounds fab Fran - more pix please. How big is the little one, in relation to say a cat?

A bit smaller than Kinnie, he is a big cat though, tall to the shoulder if you know what I mean I suppose about the size of the average mid sized cat.

Just been laughing at 1 that is really nosy, poking around on the side of the pond & put its paw in the bird bath & was not amused, especially when I laughed.
Kinnie always had a thing for the carex (brown grass) & used to treat it as a trampoline, he killed 1 in the front garden & now the cubs have discovered the same thing in the one in the back, they bounce into it & think its great fun

It wouldn't cost much but I think the pictures would be poor. Webcams are not good in low light and are generally slow responding so I think you would just get dim blurry pics. Either that or I have to put up another 250 watts of lighting
I am using a full size very sensitive video camera for this and then capturing stills from the digital recording.

Great pics BB. I am slowly winning the confidence of our family but not yet close enough to get good pics. No good through double glazing......

I whistle them when I put their food out and they appear from under bushes. We have a parent pair, four cubs and a vixen helper. The cubs are almost a big as the adults now and the helper was probably one of last years litter. All great fun though.

Please tell FB that the helper is the one that had mange which seems to be under control although her new fur is very grey. The medicine did it.

If this B****y weather improves I am hoping to be able to leave a kitchen window wide open and then shoot stills through that. Cannot use a slow shutter speed though because they are always on the move. I have a 150w halogen light on the scene so it should allow some reasonable stills if I can find the right settings:)

Grandad so glad to hear the mange seems to be under control. Was that the medicine from the vet or the natural one from the fox trust people?

From NFW, Fablux. Free on request but I sent a contribution for each bottle. Still much cheaper than the vets potions.

The foxes are so keen on eating the hedgehog food, and the smaller ones can get quite well into the HH house so we have taken to throwing the food as far back in the box as possible. We just went out to feed the foxes & there was a HH waiting, we came in to get more food, went back, threw the food to the back of the box as usual & a HH came runnning out of the box & legged it

there was I thinking how could he murder a hoghedge and then I finished reading your post. Bet Barry gave him a real fright poor thing (the hoghedge not Barry)

I don't think it was very happy, it's probably scared to eat that food now in case it fights back again :worry:
