When you asked, it was 18:21 in Egypt.

It is now 18:33.

In blighty it's 16-59pm but only for a few seconds. Time flies don't you know!

And I've just realised that I've got the L4U clock set wrong as it's showing that I posted at 3-59 pm. Confusing having all these time changes.

I know! Why don't we set all clocks around the world at zero and just start again. Then, instead of having to keep changing the time on the clocks every year we could go back to real daylight saving hours and get up at dawn and go to bed at dusk or soon after a full days labour.

If your computer clock is still showing the 'old' time change your time zone to Nairobi, Kenya as that is 3 hrs ahead of GMT

This gets even more confusing... why would we do that .We are now only 2 hours ahead of UK!!!

Because Egypt is 3 hours in front of GMT, UK is one hour in front of GMT because of British Summer Time.

That is incorrect... UK 2 hours behind Egypt.. can't be bothered doing the forward, back, forward, back for both countries..!!!!

Please check your facts Sdo before saying someone is incorrect. As Egypt is 3 hours ahead of GMT and the UK is 0ne hour ahead of GMT then 3-1 = 2
No where have I said that the difference isn't 2 hours.

If you can't be bothered, that is your concern. However you do need to be sure of your facts before telling someone they are incorrect.

Cheers I'm sorted now thanks for all your help, Now I know I never really gave a flying duck about time, never had but I have more clocks around me than anyone I've ever met, that's pretty weird I think.
Whilst enjoying a pleasurable drunken night last month over in Karnak, I lost 'whilst p****d and being helped home by a very helpful female pensioner a totally unique and valuable American Liberty dollar, clockwork 18 diamond Swiss movement wristwatch,
Which I 'blagged from a Karnak 'blagger who in-turn 'blagged it off a Belgian archeologist 50 years previous, I mourned for it for an hour then, 'felt thank God I don't have to worry about it any more.
It's a bit like the marriage & divorce...
So, if you need to know the time ? 'ask a Copper'
Ps:blagger Noun. 1. A robber, especially of banks,
2. See 'blag artist'.

Q: Why ask a Copper for the time ?
A: Cause in the early days of time pieces the Copper always stole them, cause if you had one you obviously was a tea-leaf...
NB: 'not even a 'one-pipe problem Watson
