I was always told if the palms of your hands are itchy.. depending on which palm (left or right) you either win or lose money?and that you shouldnt scratch it but rub it on wood " Rub it on wood, its sure to come good" .
What is the strangest superstition you have ever heard?
Strange that you should post this today Tannaz
As I was driving in to work I commented that my palms were itchy and my collegue quoted the same rhyme as you.
Unfortunately in my case I thing it is down to clearing some Ivy in the garden last night. Now not only my palms but the rest of my hands itch as well
The Macbeth superstion and if an actor heres this word he or she is obliged by law of the theatre to do a long amusing series of hand actions, gestures and speak words to try to break the potential hex. lol he he
The resurection of this line reminded me of Tannaz who started it. I know that she was in touch with PRChick for a while but I have not heard from her for years. Her brother lived in Oxford but then moved. I have her father's address in Tehran somewhere though.
Does anybody know how she is and whether she recovered from those dreadful injuries.
And in mine MD - the last time I heard from her she was about to have a major operation. I have no idea how it turned out and whether she survived.
For newer members who might not be aware of Tannaz, she was on a mercy mission to (I think) Iraq when she was blown up along with some colleagues. Several were killed but Tannaz survived however she was badly injured. Luxor4u sent her a big bunch of flowers to cheer her up.
