There is still great magic in Egypt and the rest of the world. The paranormal, astrology, leylines, rituals, telepathy and ESP interest us all. Discuss the mysterious aspects of life that appeal to your sixth sense here.
Over the past week or so, I've had the pleasure of Yvette Fielding's company quite a lot (damned Deadline programme shoving cameras in our faces left, right and centre! ), and I've been trying to convince her to do a Most Haunted programme in Egypt...which she actually seems quite keen on doing. Can anyone suggest any sites which would be interesting to visit? Although there are the obvious ones, such as the tombs in the Valley of the Kings, if there are any more obscure sites which could offer some interesting stuff, please let me know and I'll pass the info on!
Yvette swears blind that everything on the show is genuine, so trying it there might be quite interesting. I'm not sure how she'd go about getting permission to film, but I'm also sure that it's nothing a little baksheesh couldn't fix!
I've seen some of these programs on satellite here - some British, some American, and in none of the cases shown was any evidence shown as to a haunting - except from the 'medium' employed by the program. I saw one the other night in which the profound feelings of depression found in one particular room, which was thought to be a sign of a haunting or presence, was linked to the very high electromagnetic fields found there, which emanated from the air conditioning motors in the adjoining room!
I would doubt that they would find anything odd here either.
I might agree with you, but then we'd both be wrong!

I'm very, very sceptical about the programmes and was telling Yvette that I thought it was complete rubbish the other day! However, she proceeded to tell me about the stuff that wasn't shown because it was too freaky. There were a few occassions where members of the crew were injured by something during filming. One of the cameramen still bears the scars from filming at Edinburgh Vaults - he had suddenly felt a burning sensation, ripped his shirt off, and several large, deep scratches had appeared on his back which were pouring with blood! Apparently everyone was so freaked out that they handed in their resignations the next day! What it was, I don't know, but I doubt it was electromagnetism!!
