Favourite Endearments

Post by Winged Isis »

Ladies, what are some of your favourite Arabic endearments I can use on my other half, besides the ubiquitous "habiby", and "ya tamatem" that I heard of recently? I would also like to know some "frisky" things to say, if anyone would like to pm me.

Not a good idea-as he will want to know where you learned the frisky things...

I know when I came out with some new words he asked me where I learned them. :D

He has tried to teach me some, but of course I don't know if they really mean what he says...probably not! (Which is really my main reason for asking, I guess) But I usually forget them or stuff up the pronounciation anyway. I just fall apart laughing...not very romantic I'm afraid. :snig:

What does it matter if I tell him where I learnt them??? Weird reply! He knows all about this forum... we sometimes check it out together. He thinks it's great so many non-Muslims are trying to understand them better. He really appreciates my attempts to increase my meagre vocabulary. He has known since we met I have had other Arabic-speaking men in my life, and he is the only one now, so it's not an issue.

It's not a problem if you tell him where you learned them, it's without you telling him, he might wonder, and he might assume. That was the point.
