If you are visiting the West Bank, do call in at the amun Hotel with the tropical garden. It is open all the year round, and they do snacks and lunches which you can take in the gardens under fans and take in the fabulous plants on display there. If you are lucky you may see humming birds that visit the garden flowers for their nectar. Also if you look very very closely at the leaves on the Silk Tree you might see several Praying Mantis, but they are extremly difficult to see.
These are photographs of one of the Jessamine group of guesthouses owned by Mrs. D. Although we had gardeners, I always planned the gardens together with the other Mrs. D. and I personally built the brick pergola in the photo, which was some 70' long x 6' in depth. Hope you like them.

Ahmed the bamboo maker has moved he is no longer next door to Sayed's garden centre, he is further down the road now.
The new centre is very close to Sayed's but on the other side of the road.
