Hello my name is Annette, my husband and I have visited Luxor on 4 occasions in 2005/2007 for what I've read it's changed a bit since then. We stayed at the Jollieville and the Mercure Etap, We are hoping to visit again sometime later this year, we cant wait, we both love Luxor and the people there. I would also like to say this is a great forum.

You will find a few changes to both of the hotels you have mentioned since your last visit. The Etap has had all the front removed and a few other things and the Jollie Ville has ongoing work, plus both have changed management. 
You will also notice a lot of changes locally, anyway keep reading and contributing to the forum and you will quickly get up to date with everything that is going on.

You and your husband may have known us from the Jolie Ville Annetted, I would think that the Jolie Ville will have changed a lot since you were last there, but for me it is still just outside Luxor and still to me the safest and the best Luxor can offer.
