A new version of Picasa - version 3.8 is now available for download. You can get it from http://picasa.google.com/
I might agree with you, but then we'd both be wrong!

Thanks for the reminder Stan, I have just updated mine
Take a look at the new 'Picnic' feature that has been added to the main editing window, it is a web based editing program with some really neat features, I had a quick play with the 'exposure' adjustments and the 'Curves' feature and they work really well. A nice touch is that when you click the save option it will ask you if you want to save as another copy or overwrite the original file. This would be a great tool to those who want to have a play at making some HDR pictures.
There are lots of other goodies in there for making collages, adding sound effects etc. looks like I am going to have a busy day playing around with it.

I got the upgrade prompt earlier when I opened picasa.
I am familiar with Picnic which is the edit option in Flickr. That exposure adjustment is very neat and appears to give a true adjustment.
So we have yet another photo editor with particular good features so it's a case of switching from one to another that has the best function.
Some of the other changes relate to web albums that I use and must check out to see what is new....
