By the way, just when did crime-free Utopian societies exist?
They still do! Many of the Buddhist countries I have travelled to such as Tibet are certainly crime free utopian societies as far as I could see, and
Bhutan is one of the safest countries in the world. Crime rates are minimal and foreign visitors are treated politely and with respect
I for one would listen and take advice that in my head only seems reasonable, what ever the reason for the crime, its just plain common sense after all.
And frankly i would rather be and stay safe than be concerned about what may or may not happen, i have better things to do.
Keefy's advice IS common sense, and follows a spate of criminal behaviour that is not the norm, although we know its been happening for ages, what he is saying is that this particular crime is on the increase so be aware, whats the big deal, he is right we should be aware.

Well yes they should try to stop it, tourism will inevitably suffer if criminal behaviour increases.
I remember a few years ago when travelling to Bulgaria with a group of people i was working with, we were warned that theft and bag snatching was rife and to protect our belongings, this was on the coach going to the hotel from the airport, the talk of theft was rife in the resort we stayed in resulting in less people going out, spending less in the community, and over recent years less tourists visiting.
Bulagria used to be a top place to visit, sadly it is no more, and i ahve bulgarian friends who attribute this directly to the level of crime increasing.

The majority of Motorcyclists in Luxor are joy riders. They venture out at night to let rip and meet up with the same thrill seekers. Be vigilant and take on the advice above but don't get edgy about every bike you might see or hear. The youth bike culture is innocent and thrilling on the most part. It is just a shame there are those who spoil it for others. I know this post is old but it does no harm to add a reminder just encase.
..............but, as far as I know, Keefy has now left Luxor,......from what I understand, he was attempting to return there from some God almighty dreadful place, when he took the wrong flight and ended up in another God almighty dreadful place called Luton instead of Luxor. .
If people want to comment on an old subject then they should start a fresh thread if the subject is really old, this avoids members having to read a lot of ancient posts to get to the thrust of why they commented.
Unless of course, the recent rave from the grave poster had been in a comma for that amount of years. And let us not forget, we have been privy to MT's repeat performances since he first joined. And what about A-four? I think at times he must have his past offerings on speed dial.

You wanna be in my gang, my gang, my gang. I never in my time in Luxor really complained about anyone's post, only one to my memory. I think basically I could not be bothered to be honest. Just accepted that at the first chance some would report my posts, I suppose when someone called me a muderous bas...d I could have done, but why? They had their opinions on something they knew nothing about, and in any case was not going to show my ignorance at that time.
Driving back towards Karnak today I saw the best ever transportation using a motorbike. Guy controlling it, guy on pillion supporting a guy with a full leg in plaster. The said leg projected out at a...
