Ok time to introduce the REAL me!

Post by Barb »

I am sorry for registering under a false name but I had my reasons.
I am Barbara also known as Barb. I live in Awamia with my sister Theresa who has a company here. I am not connected with this company in any way other than living in the house and me and my sister are completely different people who have completely different views on life. I am 40 years old and have been living in Luxor for 2 and a half years. I work as the sales manager in a small hotel. I have never been married to an Egyptian man but have had a few relationships, 5 in fact, in the 19 years that I was coming for holidays and living here. Contrary to some peoples beliefs I do NOT sleep around but I do have a lot of male Egyptian friends but they are purely JUST FRIENDS, I do not sleep with them, and they all know that they will never be anything more than this. I have been accused many times, especially on the LCB site that I 'defend' Egyptian men who rip off women. I just wish to clear up the fact that I do not do this, I defend the GOOD, HONEST and hard working Egyptian men because I think it is a shame that the bad ones give the good ones a bad name in a lot of peoples eyes. In fact I have told a LOT of Egyptian men that that real man would NEVER take money from a woman that he is meant to love. I have been called many names, to my face and behind my back by people that dont actually know me very well and would rather listen to the gossip in Luxor than ask me the truth. I am a very honest person and tell it as it is, or how I see it, something that has got me in to trouble on a few occasions, but I would rather say something to someones face than behind their back. Some people think I am very opinionated but that is just me. Others think that I am totally nuts but thats the way I am. I would rather be nuts than boring. lol. Anyway sorry to go on but I like to talk a lot. If anyone wants to know anything about me then just ask. As I said I am very honest and will answer all questions. Thanks for reading.
Barb. x

Barb a bit too much information, it may give the gossipers room to twist what you have said, but I agree with alot you have said.

I get spoken about 24 hours a day but I like to court controversy its a little spice in life, and it keeps unwelcome people away.

My best was setting a rumour going and within 15 mins it had got back to me by someone on the east bank, I know who started it, I just needed the oportunity to prove I was right, people who listen to other peoples telephone conversations always come to grief.

14 months ago I would make a point of extracting revenge but now, my legs will not allow me to make the gutter.. so I just let these people go on through their lives, thinking they have got one on me.... ha ha!!!

Oh and dont we just know how things are twisted here Chocolate eclair. lol. I have done that a few times too and had great pleasure in telling them that the gossip came straight from the horses mouth. Its a good way to see who your REAL friends are. Its great when someone you have never met in your entire life tells you something about yourself, especially when they dont know its actually you they are talking about. I hate gossip and would rather people asked me about what I am up to instead of others.

Some of the local men can be just as bad though. I once stood talking to a local when a middle aged english woman walked past, 2 faced git smiled and made a big fuss of her as she walked past.....the second she was out of ear-shot boy did she get a character assassination. If truth be-told it was real toe curling gossip :worry:

I agree Barb, one of my East Bank friends was having a beer in sindbads listening to what a certain gentleman was saying about me, it was funny really because he put his mobile on the table for me to listen to...

But its all fun, some of the things that have been said about people are so false that when you meet the person for the first time it stands out that the gossip was way out...I have documentary evidence of a gosipper and trouble maker, who thinks they have got away with it, but they havn't I am just laying low and waiting to pounce, the difference is when I pounce I have the evidence to destroy before doing so.... this person knows who they are, (But if they don't know then false e-mail address's claiming to be a long time resident of the West Bank, giving a false name, and telling lies should help them identify themselves)....
