Im trying my best to please everyone, which of course is difficult.

Anyway ive changed *BANNED WORD* to a better word - *Word Censor* but for those who want to see the censored words all you have to do is roll your mouse over the text *Word Censor* - you will know it is a word censored word when it as a striked line through it...

Example: anyway im going to **** *** and have some sleep.

So its up to you if you want to see the original word now:

Please respect other members and dont try to bypass the word censor by putting stars/underscores etc in a bad words, any post containing bad language with the intentions of bypassing the word system will have their post edited and the bad words replaced with something more suitable. (PM's wont be sent to explain the changed words)

Im adding the above rule to the forums and blogs rules.

So let me get this straight. We shouldn't self censor ourselves anymore by sticking a star in or a @ sign or anything? But what if I write my swear word out in full assuming the censor will hide my dignity ..... and my word isn't in the blacklist?

When I finish the new coding of the updated forums you will be able to turn the Word Censor off if you want.

I am liking the new feature too, however, for those of a more sensitive nature...the swear word in question does show up immediately in the 'highlight bit' you know where you look at see what the post is about before clicking on it. This may offend. Just thought I would mention it Keefy, in case you weren't aware.

Goddess, surely any perceived loss of dignity would occur though the actual use of the swearword, and not just in being 'found out'?

Thanks for pointing that out Lisak, I missed that one, however that will take sometime to re-program so i will just leave it for now, most people use the View posts since last visit or last 10 post scroller or View the last 25 topics with new posts which does not have the rollover feature so hopefully I wont be in trouble again

I'm a user of the "posts since last visit" feature, and have been meaning to ask if it's possible to have that roll-over highlight thingy on topic titles there, too please?

I really dont want to do any more programming on here since I am programming the new updated forum which hopefully will have all your requests.

Personally, I think the word censor has now run its course.

I'd rather have the odd asterisked profanity, than an endless diet of bikeshed banality.

Not long to wait Arthur, soon you will be able to turn the word censor off
