In only 40 day time on Feb 9th, Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II will have been The UK's monarch for 60 years and is the second longest reigning Monarch in the world to date.
The current monarch of Thailand is His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej. The king has reigned since 9 June 1946, making him the world’s longest reigning current monarch and the world’s longest serving head of state.
Should the Thai king die tomorrow, Queen Elizabeth would have to reigh a further six years before she herself became the world's longest reigning monarch and head of state.
