FOOD- Generally in general

Post by LovelyLadyLux »

By and large do you think you're really eating real food or are you/we really eating enticingly wrapped up chemical concoctions that are mega calories and nutritionally nil?

But 'real' food is no more than chemical concoctions - protein, fats and carbohydrates are all made up of chemicals!
I might agree with you, but then we'd both be wrong!

It strikes me that here in Luxor our diet contains a lot less of the 'processed' food which we would feed on in most Western countries. I don't think that the likes of street falafel contains much in the way of monosodium glutamate and his family!

@TB I definitely think you are correct and the food in Egypt is 'plainer' in that it isn't infused with chemicals and additives and how knows what all else to give it a shelf life of a million years.

Posted this having just come back from the local grocery store where on shopping was noticing that just more and more and more of everything seems packaged to attract and entice consumers to buy but the actual substance of what one is buying isn't even real food that would actually rot away.
