Can anyone help me out with a PM problem please?

I'm trying to respond to a PM, have compiled my reply and clicked submit but my message now appears to be stuck in my outbox where there is no submit or send button.

Also stuck in my outbox is a PM to DJ Keefy asking this same question!

Any suggestions folks?

I thought that pm's sat in your Outbox until they were opened by the recipient.

Yes, that's right, TB. You'll just have to be patient DS!

I can confirm what others above have said.
Once you SEND your composed message it will remain the OUTBOX folder until it is actually opened by the recipient. It well then appear in your SENT fold.
