Another phone question!

Does anyone have any helpful suggestions please?
I've got a Samsung Galaxy Ace phone. Recently I rang an aquaintance in Luxor on my landline having copied the tel. no directly from my mobile phone list and was connected without any problem. My aquaintance informed me that they had tried a number of times to send messages to my UK mobile number but that there had been problems. We have managaged to send/receive texts in the past, although we've not been in contact for somewhile, but I promised I would send them a text message again from my UK mobile but each time I've tried over the last few days it's failed! I've had no problems sending/receiving texts from any other of my numbers stored regardless of the country.

It seems odd it's just this number and I've no idea how to correct it - if I can!

Was the SIM purchased at the same time Hepzibah ?

Sometimes, you have to enable International calling / texting with your provider.

It may also be worth checking the settings on your phone, as there may be an option there, as it limits the length of the number in case anyone hijacks your phone via bluetooth or wireless.

My Company supplied Balckberry has this option..

It's the same sim I've had for years. Upgraded phone from simple Nokia to this Samsung last year. No problem texting other numbers in Luxor and like I said I've used the number to call from my landline by self dial taking the number from my mobile.

I've looked in settings but I can't seen anything obvious.

My husband had the same problem with my messages when he changed phones. Look in Settings and see if it is locked against that number. Otherwise go to Samsung.

I've looked in settings but can't find anything unusual - then again I'm not sure I know what I'm looking for either. I understand you can block certain people but I have not got a clue how to do that so I very much doubt that is the problem.

What I haven't done is try to ring them from my mobile. Perhaps I should try that tomorrow.

And another phone question...

Does anyone know how to find the 'Draft' box for text messages on the Samsung Galaxy Ace?

I have a number of messages that I think I've sent but then when I look at the message log they are shown as 'Draft' - problem is I cannot find a draft box so that I can re-open the message and attempt to re-send!

Galaxy Ace doesn't have a drafts folder.
When creating a message to a recipient, if you come out of the message it will save the draft message against that person's name in the Messages.
( in the thread for that recipient)

It does appear to mark messages as "draft" if you come out of them too quickly before its been sent.

So, are you saying when I see 'Draft' it's a bit like an 'out box' i.e it's waiting for the recipient to pick up and open?

:? confused as usual!

Yes, if you don't hit send, then it becomes a draft by default. ( if you have to answer a call halfaway through creating an e-mail for example)

The "draft" will be saved in the conversation thread.

 And this was all supposed to make life and communication simpler!

I just find it so confusing that in my 'conversation thread' the messages are date stamped and appear to be sent but in my 'message log' they are marked red as Draft! What a stupid way to do things! It does not fit my pattern of logic at all!
