Thank you for the enlightenment. When a thread meanders onto a new page (of 20 messages) I don't always go back to the previous page, so I missed this one. I assume that there is a 'standard' sized gas bottle. What is the weight of the gas in it, as bottles of gas come in many different sizes in other countries, and are usually priced by the weight of the gas.
Also, is the gas propane, butane, or something else?
I think in general it seems to be around the 12 -15le price, if you get charged more ask why your nieghbours pay less for the same product!
I now have a proper and fair supplier, who charges no more for bringing the canister connecting it and taking the old one away.
I have read somewhere there is a shortage of canister's so be prepared for the next scam and if you see one laid about pick it up and take it home, in a few weeks time it may be priceless....
For obvious reasons I used to get mine in Luxor, away from prying eyes and in the evening. I bought a bottle back on the motorcycle a few weeks ago and a person saw me and accused me of not supporting the village, when I asked the price of a bottle I was told 30le, still they cannot understand why!!! Makes me laugh Makes me Cry, makes me want to poke their eye!!
