Hiya Wiz!

We bought that and tuna every week: KZ, Ragab's and Arkwright's. I would imagine also at 40, but we didn't go there this time.

All those places, but be prepared to pay over the top prices, especially at Arkwrights, McVities Gingernuts for example £1 40 a packet!!!!!
Brown Sauce, on the bottle 70p on sale at £1.60p there are no excuses for these prices at all, be saying the import tax and delivery, a load of rubbish.

Have to disagree with you on this one Choc as I know the owner of A's and it is always a problem getting these commodities into the shop and when the do manage it the import taxes are very high then the wholesalers put a high mark up on them as they know these particular goods sell, especially to us soft lads that like ginger nuts. Small tin of pink salmon is between 25-29Le large 65-70Le. Red salmon small, is between 30-35Le, large 75-89Le although 40's six months ago was asking 120Le. The tin salmon prices are always bouncing up and down, usually in an upwards direction. Small crab meat at 40's was 51Le but I waited patently until they reduced it to 31Le as the date was running out. I always wait until I have friends coming over for my small salmon as for some reason it just doesn't seem to taste the same as the UK tins. I also enjoy the salmon spread in the small jars at 16Le as a treat with tomato on a sarnie, but for some reason these are now 23Le a jar when you can find them. No thanks.

Good heavens, at those prices it's cheaper to eat out.

A Hermes Birkin purse costs $10,000.00
You'll be moaning even more when you hear Arkwrights has closed down.....be grateful for small but tasty items....

PS: 14.75oz canned salmon $3.87: 1oz Caviar Osetra Caviar $190.

You could always open a shop and show them how to do it.

Although I know that the very charming British couple were giving up their business in Luxor, and their Cairo home, I thought that Arkwright's had been bought by a local Egyptian.

2'S next door stocked similar items and was always marginally cheaper anyway, so all is not lost..

Along with my unscheduled trip to Luxor today posted on Facebook ( not happening, I was still in bed at the time)
An Urgent call from a guy named Phil Mcracken, and the huge dent on the side of my new car....

So therefore, although I am in England at the moment,.....I take it my statement is correct.

No, not exactly. This is one of those topics that will be made public at a future date.
