In a word No! I had two different Cowboys turn up to fix mine last year and it's still broken but there is a service dept next to the bathroom shop on Medina St, if that's any help....

This sounds a stupid suggestion, but are the batteries good in your remote? Sometimes the simplest of things can create major problems. Also check the fuses in the "Big Switch" as you call it. Things like this do not happen overnight its normally something simple is the problem, that for a local tradesman can bring in Mega Bucks, so try these things first before calling out.

Or the secondary fuse my have tripped. If any of them are in the down position, flick it back up. These fuses are usually behind a hinged metal box built into the wall in one of the rooms.

There seems to be a lot of dripping coming from that direction of late. But be warned, the 3rd world war will be breaking out on or about the 19th-21st of this month. I have ringside seats on my watch tower at 200Le each. All proceeds go to local charities after hospital bills are settled due to shrapnel wounds from incoming's. And before you ask, this is a teaser of things to come so it will be :st from me.

Arriving on the 22nd, so will bring my Kevlar vest (summer weight of course, in a fetching shade of Cerise). I would like to purchase 2x foresaid tickets to watch event(whatever it will be) from your watchtower.
When a night out presents its self, who am I to pontificate on the nature of the event! It will be a good way to meet the new neighbours!
Keep me informed on this Auspicious sounding gathering!
(PS will offer my services as First Aider, but will only offer my tweezer service for the removal of shrapnel, if it has bypassed any male nether regions!) :army: :army:

When it kicks off I will tell you, but as its not happened yet I can't comment. But happen it will. This is going to be one of those sad turn of events, but it was inevitable that it would happen in time.

I have a bigger roof with 360 views and invite you Count D for free :up

(This would have nothing to do with the fact that you may find 3 refugees in their bikini's at your door looking for shelter) ;)

The fuse in the big switch? Did you just replace the 6" nail with a coach bolt? This could lead to bigger problems in the future.

Normally the Big Switch has spares tucked in a little compartment in the front of the switch accessible by a small screwdriver, so no need for Coach Bolts or Nails. The thing that suprises me is how many places have not burned down due to poor and unqualified electricians. On the West Bank the common thing is to take a 10mm CSA cable rated at 40A to a box and then connect either 1.5mm, 2.5mm or even 0.75mm cables to it and take them out to other outlets such as lights etc. They then protect with a 40A breaker (Trip) The problem is the others cables below 10mm are not meant to carry this amount of load, and this is when the danger starts.
