Why do I bang on about this gaff, it used to-be an artists EC1 squat near me, it did raves ect, in the 90's before that it was an old smokehouse, there are more underground spaces than overground in Clerkenwell, Fabric which I was offered for 350Kin 93 is 12,000ft underground they use only about 3-4OOOst ft :http://www.fabriclondon.com
St John, Fergus 'bless and 'el vino Trevor, I have tried unsuccessfully to get art installed in their restaurant and believe you me, I'm 'tricky. they just won't have it, 'One can walk in there, sit down start chatting with a 'somebody, actor artist writer and end up eating bone marrow or langoustines quaffing champagne and oysters, it's doesn't get better than that, and it will always be a success,
oh! it also makes money.
Fergus and his missis, Margeaux hailed from The French House, Trevor understands the 'terroir.
I also once found a cast iron victorian full sized head of St John the Baptist, dumped in a skip which obviously I have copied and sold on to local clerkenwell gaffes.
