I was hoping that Bruce could have benefited from the 50th Anniversary, :up but That's life, :cg

We just passed the 49 th Anniversary of the ridiculous sentencing of 300 years for 11 of the robbers, !!! ( April 15th)
and one man who had nothing to do with the robbery and died in jail.,
but then a sucessful appeal he would have secured the release of ALL the Great Train Robbers, due to the "evidence" the rozzers planted on them.

Justice is a Whore...

Thanks Doctor.. :up

THAT is one of the best articles I have read about Bruce...

"His memoir, The Autobiography of a Thief, is an exceptional book, not simply because of the extraordinary life it documents but because it's so well written. And in person he had an artful way with words. When we first met, at a book reading 13 years ago, I was struck by his wit and erudition and by that literary knack of hoisting just the right allusion to illuminate a story".

I still have that book.. It will go to my eldest Grandson when the time is right...

This was his dedication in the autobiography he left here once:
To All expats ~ Who ever you are.

1965 Poolside, Acapulco,
Mexico.

A bronzed Yorkshire man of undetermined age
fixed me with a quizzical stare and remarked,

“Shady people always come to live in the sun”

“How right he was”
