Re: Nubian pyramids
The FCO does not advise against travel to anywhere on the Nile in Sudan from Khartoum to Egypt, so visiting the pyramids should be possible. I would love to go there, but only with a good local guide. It would have to be in winter, though, as it is rather warm at this time of year.
