No, Ephialtes betrayed the 300, because he could not be a Spartan due to his weak left arm as I recall.

His father was a Spartan, and due Ephialtes deformities, he would not make a True Spartan, his father taught him the ways of the Sparta, and he requested to join them when the Persians were due to attack, but was only assigned the job of lookout man. If I remember the film correctly, its been a while since I saw it..
Damn good film, but not a true story.

On the bright side for Ephialtes, at least by betraying the 300, he did get his leg over,
which in his everyday life was probably never going to happen..

Just because he didn't get to be a 'real' solider, no reason to get the hump. 300 part two is in the making.

For some funny reason I know many scots actors and a few 'crims, I notice John Hannah is in this as well, John's a really old mate, John's misses Joanna Hanna didn't much like me or anyone else from John's past, wimmin! any how she got pregnant and one night at the Bafta's, I tapped her on her shoulder and quipped "So Joanna what she to be called ? An aside, Ray Burdis did a TV thing called Operation Good Guys, loads of daft coppers, well they went out to Tobago to film something and found my mate Nick [the sculptor & sometime rockstar] living round the corner, as he was an old mate of 'scullys, special forces, andy mc nab, needs to know, and all that crap they ended up becoming lifetime members of my place...tata film time:.....

One could compare him with Hugh Laurie.. I like both of them...

Funnily enough, I was in Lecce and met up with our barrister in a small restaurant. She was well and truly pregnant.
