Well its actually a "reconsider your need to travel" for Egypt. When we were out and about in Luxor at the tourist sites in the last three weeks we didn't hear any Australian accents (except for the other South Australians in the same block of flats. )
There were a few tourists at the main sites, but the only busloads we saw were Russians from Hurgada.
Yes it was great. We did all the ticketed sites in Luxor and found the tourist touts mostly manageable. Even the calesh drivers weren't too annoying - then again we didn't spend too much time on the cornishe or near the tourist souk.
I checked my booking online and noticed that Egyptair have cancelled the direct Luxor-London (and thus I assume London-Luxor) flight this Monday July 8th, routing is now via Cairo. My existing...

It seems that Egyptair have now postponed the direct flights to Monday 26 October. They will, no doubt, probably be postponed again. Will I ever be able to get back to home?

Thanks for the replies I suppose until uk gov lift the travel advisory regarding egypt it's all immaterial! You cant go or if you do you are taking a big risk!
