Swiss couple found dead in Egypt resort city

Authorities have discovered the bodies of a Swiss couple in a villa in a Red Sea resort city in Egypt, the country's state television reported Thursday. It says investigators suspect the villa guard.

The website initially reported that they were Swedish.

The Thursday report said the couple was found in Hurghada a week after they disappeared. It said the guard allegedly wanted to take over the villa, without explaining further. Security officials could not be reached and embassies were closed.

Crime in Egypt surged after the country's 2011 uprising, as the police force collapsed and the country became awash with weapons.

Pretty sad. Whenever I read articles like this I can only hope the end came swiftly and there isn't evidence of torture or prolonged suffering. Hope law enforcement are able to bring this to a resolution quickly and I do hope the blame can be laid to a single individual vs any type of political group attack on the couple.

AND - if the links posted open and read in Arabic that is problematic. Need them to be in English please.

Sorry its an Arabic publication you can use a translator like Google I use Google Chrome as my browser translation is offered automatically but iirc other browsers offer this.
I don't read Arabic either so I am not likely to translate it. There were 2 perpetrators one is in custody one is wanted.

Yeah it does, but photos of dead people are rather normal these days, aren't they?
