Do any of you know a competent video professional in Luxor? The people who are doing the replica of tut’s tomb need someone to shoot some documentation. Suggestions welcome. Cheers there is payment involved….

Sorry, but I left Luxor this morning. When do they want me to come back?

The nub of my request got me to thinking, as I had a couple of mates to stay for 2 days.
(who incidentally won the ‘Best bar & restaurant in Egypt 2012-2013’ by The Egyptian Tourist Board )
So Committee, here's my proposal for the successful acquisition of The Howard Carter Coffee Shop:

1. No rents or government taxes are involved for a period of 2 years.
2. All government licences are in-place without fees for a 2 year period.
3. Stoppelare House is open for tourists visits.
4. The 'Tour Guides Syn of Luxor will not be paid any commissions.
5. The TGSL and TETB both above will forcibly made to promote these new attractions.

Now if the 'powers to be, could be made to see sense and not even consider trying to charge a ludicrous 150,000le Yes folks! that's a Hundred and Fifty Thousand le per calendar month.
Then I could make it work. But it will never happen because it, already has happened…if you get my drift….

"Why only 2 years ? boredom…
And I won't even charge them for the privilege as I normally would.

If you you don't think the 'powers to be are a bit daft take a look at an early proposal of the visitors centre, it would make a grown man weep….

Low Cost, High Turnover, creates work and profits. High Costs and Low Turnover creates Bankruptcy.
