(I'm not really absolutely sure which section to put this in.)

I've just seen this montage of David Robert's paintings set to music and compiled by Ahmad Farag Elyan which I thought was worth sharing.

David Roberts - Ancient Egypt

- Paintings by - David Roberts - Music - theme from "The Mummy 1999"- Imhotep - SeriousTrouble - Music composed & conducted by Jerry Goldsmith

Imagine! If he had come here in the 90's, what with all the dross of tourists he would have painted Margate esplanade..

Imagine if he came now Who2!
What would he paint?
Tanks?Unfinished buildings?Empty streets?Impoverished people?Dying animals?
Would that be a more "aesthetically pleasing" picture than the "dross tourists?"

See you've been posting photos of your friends and visitors. What category of tourists do they fit into?
Just wondering.....

Have never succumbed to physical violence in my life.Have neither been on giving or receiving end of it!
As for eating deep fried Mars Bars in "sunny"Leith?
Don't know of any Scots who ever tried them.
The whole concept was a carefully thought out strategy to encourage English tourists to visit our beautiful Capital city and engage in a new sport of "watching the deprivation!"
We fooled you, didn't we?Cos we were far more sophisticated than was first imagined.

P.s. Your mates are tourists! You can "dress it up"anyway you want..but that's what they are!
Same as me,cos my and the other dross of tourists' money is just as good (if not better and more readily spent)than theirs!
But you're a tourist too,are you not?Albeit a long-term one?

Fighting over the Genre's of Music. . . Basically I suppose we are just naked Apes receiving a higher level of programming.

Still, If it wasnt for Quadrophenia, your mate Sting would probably be teaching Kids in a dowdy comprehensive school, counting down the days to his retirement... Sah ?? :cg

Spare a thought for me here in Wales, no fricken revolutions here keeping those tourists off MY roads, in their highly polished 4 x 4 's and fancy mountain bikes...
give it 6 more weeks, and I that is what I have to contend with, plus I have to start paying to visit the ancient monuments when they come...
