Women and Their Governments: A Comparison

This seems to be the top story in Egypt tonight:

And the top story in the US right now:

I don't really have anything profound to say about this but there was something rather odd in the juxtaposition of these news stories about women's libidos in relation to governments at the same time.

Not too sure about the women + Sisi part but as for the American comment by Huckabee - presently he IS a strong vocal Republican, maybe a Presidential Candidate in the 2016 Presidential election and is probably/possibly alluding to the Democrats and Obamacare and trying to needle in anything he can say against the Democrats and their healthcare policy.

Whether women generally, globally would vote for the best looking, most handsome candidate is something to ponder. Would they? Hmmmm............

(I've never read any studies one way or another on this topic. While it is something to ponder here for a few it is nothing I've held an interest in)

The best test I can think of this would be Kennedy: and Gallup says not much difference. After him they all seem pretty ugly, that is unless you, or rather Italian women, think that Berlusconi is attractive with his hair transplant, several goes at plastic surgery, hair dye and botox injections.

The more you look at it the more you think that ugliness is a almost a prerequisite to political power. The French and Italians, home to the worship of beauty and style, stand out in the ugly brigade. Maybe attractiveness is cultural. What we think plain the Egyptians think attractive. Attractiveness might also be affected by how you vote with supporters seeing sexiness and the others ugly. Many thought Thatcher attractive, whilst to others she looked as hard and and as arrogant as her policies.

I've read some reports about Sisi mania and some wag is calling it Sisiphilia or, for the other side, Sisiphobia. Both of which appear contagious.
