Perhaps There Is A God?

After coming to ST's defence last night I was greeted this morning by the God Squad.

A punishment or a reward?

Will have to rethink my strategy, obviously the picture of a satanic ritual and a sign stating that "sacrifices are regularly carried out here" are not the deterrent they once were.

God moves in mysterious ways Z'

Many many moons ago, we were in a shop in Luxor, one we visited on more or less every trip at least once. The proprietor was a lovely man.
We would on occasion discuss religion, what with him being a devout Christian, it was tricky discussing such matters.

One day out of the Blue, he said to me, with a smile on his face, "you too will find God one day soon"..

He wasn't wrong... :up

Problem with God is, that there will be those who will now be thinking.. How can that tw@t possibly know about God ? ;)

I have never had a problem with my God. I do however have had good fun with people over the years, where-by God has spoken to them.
My God has never spoken to me, to my knowledge,
But all is not lost 'because I constantly speak to my Self, my Cat, the sheep next door who by the way are a magnificent flock/congregation, of 'err sheep! and are quite spellbound by my Oratory.
Is there a God ? well if you think this all came about by miss-order then my friends you don't understand the meaning of Order and a Greater Intelligence, call it what you will.
Oh! and If you doubt me ? then come and have a chat with my flock....

The god squad were outside Lime St Station in Liverpool on Thursday pushing leaflets at all passing by, but stepped back as Omar passed by. Lucky ******* always avoids the 'have you found Jesus' brigade. "Clumsy to have lost him" is my usual retort

I like my god. I never hear him, never see him, never spends my money or accuses me of achieving the impossible, like talking via my rear orifice. :tk I wonder if they have wives like this up there?

Why is it that a man talking to God is praying, yet God talking to a man is schizophrenia?

I think that people are free to worship their god in whatever way they choose, but if they come knocking on my door with their leaflets and diatribe I will dismantle their religion and send them on their way. It doesn't take long until they give up trying.

I remember meeting a lot of strange folk outside Lime street years ago. Always wanted to know if I was looking for business. ;)

Oh they've moved on now to the southern end of Rodney Street, - as you all know, I'm always here to help tourist find various venues, even when they've moved on, good luck, Dusak.

But I won't make a fuss, though it's obvious

and

Lies are gonna get you someday, just wait and see.

It all goes out on the big transmitter, so to speak..

For some bizarre reason, a lot of their business can now be found up by the cathedral! The real one, not the wigwam.

I used to drink with Jeff in the 'Who'd ave thought It' a barn in Grafty Green, it would take hours before he deemed to play the guitar not on the stage with the band, he would play it on a long lead on the table opposite me it sounded like 3 people playing.
Oh! and he hated Hi-Ho although it made him a lot of money. Great motor mechanic terrible acne...

Get a grip here Robbo, where do you think the southern end of Rodney Street is,......now be kind to me or there will be no H.P. Sauce or any deep mature winging its way.

Cozy Powell, my favourite drummer of all time once played with the Jeff Beck group, as did Ritchie Blackmore. ( many other famous rock legends have at one time been involved with Jeff )
I have struggled to ever say who my all time guitarist is.. After a lot of deliberation the other night, all things considered, then it is indeed Ritchie Blackmore. :up
Interestingly enough and on a sub note that is tenuous, my daughter is named Lorna, a name invented by R. D. Blackmore, author of Lorna Doone.
The Name Lorna was invented by him, it was created out of the first names of his two daughters, Lorraine, and Natalie..

Don't worry Bullet Magnet, you haven't seen or heard me sing and dance. ST is a nurse if she caught me at it she would think look at that poor bugger hopping about and howling with pain, she would soon be over with the first aid kit.

One night he (jeff) was telling us that Tina Turner had called him up, she wanted him to play on Private Dancer, he went, he played and she said "I can't sing that fast" the producer Britton said "try harder, she did and boy did she do well.
We all went to see her a year later at Wembley...

I too have a singing voice that resembles braking glass, to be accompanied by two left feet. Perhaps we could organize dance classes together for bent twisted people. I think we could find enough here. :D PS. Your seeds are at the drop off point.

Tina Turner. :up My all time favorite female singer. One of the perks of being famous is that you can 'die' several times. She was dead in 2012, now dead again on 5th of June this year according to the website Necro pedia. :urm: Although having said that, I have died the death several times while attempting to tell a joke.
