A Tree ?

I have two of these ever-green trees in my garden and wondered if anybody knows what their european name would be. ?
They are presently 40' high, with whispery type foliage.
My builders call then 'Attel and say they rub a dead body with them as did the ancients...:cool:

I'm no expert on trees (or anything else come to that) but I think better photo's of the foliage and tree bark may help.

Just from what I can see I'm wondering if it's from the pine family.

It could be a cottonwood long leaf pine.
