The producer of most of Elton's songs was Gus Dudgeon a really nice guy he and his wife Sheila both died about 12 years ago when his classic XK crashed on a motorway...
Ps: He also pulled this from the vaults of Rocket Records for me and made me a CD, with a young Dave Stewart..

Now, is Kai Olsen ( guitarist and singer on that song ) any relative of Nigel Olsen, Elton's brilliant drummer ?


Gus is actually credited bang on the Front Cover, but it is out of view on the picture.
Elton certainly had the right people around him at the right time to produce such wonderful songs. Bernie, Gus, Davey, Nigel, Dee ( RIP ), Ray, and **** James in the early days..


I always said to my kids, if I die in a car crash, I will have died doing what I love...
Driving hard that is, not crashing, I dont like crashing too much..

pretty surreal though if you are lucky enough to survive the experience of Death..
