Dont Stop is one of my favourite songs of hers, and this one.. Songbird..
One of her great songs, that makes the hairs stand up... An indicator of a great song for me..
Great lady, great voice, great song. I also love the Eva Cassidy cover of it.As you say a right spine tingler, and made even more poignant and meaningful when you realise how pure her voice was, and that the world discovered her after her death. We had the 3 Albums posthumously, but what would have followed had she lived to record more?
We will never know, but at least we have the music she did gift us with to touch our souls.
Also love Katie Melluas duet with her, singing "some where over the rainbow"

Eva's voice was beautiful, I have posted her version of Stings Fields of Gold on here in the past. Moves me like Sting could not...
Katie I used to like, now I will have to dig out a few of her songs for a listen again. She seems to have gone quiet these last 6 or 7 years ..

you can see Katie Melua singing "with" Eva Cassidy on an old tv series called "Duet impossible" on youTube. Great mixing.

Not bad at all Choccy, but I do miss Chrissy's alluring voice...
My Wife would probably like that one, and our female forum friend from the frozen North..
<-- Carlsberg in there...

You'd better not be talking about me, Bullet Magnet. Five seconds were more than enough, I only tolerate that music because it normally means that I am shopping in Metro Supermarket in Mohandessin, about to create new memories from Cairo. I have no idea why I would enjoy this and I am jumping to the conclusion that you refer to me.

This "Sonbird". Is it "Songbird" but with the "Air on a G-string" enthusiastically removed, taking the string with it?

I can live with it... It's not as bad as some people have it, so I have that going for me, which is nice...

Hi BM.
One of the classic albums "Rumours"in the same ilk as "Bat out of Hell."
The "Songbird"song has nice memories for me.Oh,you know!First boyfriend,I was 15,he was 18.He emigrated to Australia (figured there was no future in steelworks in Scotland) and I played this song all the time, sobbing my little heart out!Still brings a lump to my throat and a tear to my eye!
Sometimes wonder what he's doing now!
Anyway, enough of the melancholy.Fave song on it now is "Don't Stop."
Always find it kinda appropriate in my circumstances..and it cheers me up.x

You do not hear much about Chrissy McVie these days, is she still married to Lindsey Buckingham, Fleetwood Mac's ex Guitarist? Still hear of the odd album by Stevie Nicks. My favourite Fleetwood Mac's member was Peter Green I loved his song, "I need your love so bad"
