Okay today im going to talk about these two mysterious ladies Mutbenret and Mutnodjemet. Its has been always assumed that the two of them are one and the same but they may not have been.

Its my belief that Mutbenret was the older Milk sister of Nefertiti not her actual sister. My reasons is because in order for one to be a wetnurse she had to have given birth before thus in this case Mutbenret may have been this child thus Nefertiti might have grown up with this woman but not actually related to her.

As of Mutnodjemet I believe that she came into picture between the reigns of Tutankhamun and Ay, I do believe there I s a connection with her and the Later Nefertari but not with the entire 18th Dynasty itself because the true blood power ended with Tutankhamun.

What do you guys think?

Just a minor point here, but The hormone responsible for milk production is called prolactin. It is produced by the pituitary gland in the brain. Us modern day westerners are not familiar with the old ways, but it was known that any woman could produce breast milk.

Just to arm you with that knowledge in case it is used to challenge your theory..

But wouldn't that be difficult seeming that the woman may not have concieved what do they do check if the breasts are plump or something how did they di it.

It's also interesting that babies favor different breasts at different times probably instituted by the needs of the pituitary gland, mind you that's just my theory, mind you my theory on the pituitary gland is far wackier, 'casting pearls ect....
Ps: note it's amazing how often the pituitary gland is depicted in pharaonic art. 'not a lot of people know that!

You are perfectly correct here BM.
A woman does not need to have undergone childbirth to lactate!

I don't know the clinical details,have only ever had passing info on obstetrics/gynaecology.

But...I had a friend who adopted her two children as babies.
She breastfed both of them successfully.
This was back in late 80's.

Don't know how it worked!
But..breast stimulation,nipple care,psychological instruction..and the will of the human body and pituitary gland produced the desired effect!

At 52..I could still breastfeed if I wanted too!
Even though I'm in menopause..with a little care and attention..my breasts could (and sometimes do)produce milk!

Well..they can't all be scientific!

Sometimes..just sometimes..there's no explanation for them!
And,as a scientist..you should just sometimes accept it..cos you don't have all the answers,no matter how you strive for them!

The mystery of Mutnodjemet is a daunting one but I believe that she came from outside the prior royal family.
