I would have messaged Mr Keefy privately, but when I try to get onto my Private messages pages all I get are the following notes.

"You are not authorised to send private messages."

"You are not authorised to read private messages."

Has something gone wrong? Or is it that I've I been a naughty boy in not posting frequently enough?

Now now Teddyboy the first post you make in a long while and you still have to get in a quick dig at me, though like in the past when you did post (before your ordeal in Luxor) you are wrong.

I would have spent sometime looking into your problem, but have decided you can now wait till I feel like it

My sympathies Brian. Despite Keefy trying a number of things, I still don't even have a button saying Private Messages, after about a couple of years. I think LLL has the same problem. Yet I have one on Egypt4u. Go figure.

And, despite your last public comment to me and about me Keefy, which you then locked which meant I couldn't reply, I am extremely happy, thank you. You had asked a question, I simply answered with a totally unemotional two-word response, purely to give you more information in your quest. I was merely trying to help, and quite surprised at your response.

But I will move on from that. Further information to hopefully help, as I still have faith in your abilities and L4u: Previously you said it was probably a problem with my computer. Well, a week ago I got a new one as my old had a software meltdown and had to go to a specialist for data retrieval, with no guarantee of success. I started to use my new, totally-virgin-from-the factory laptop, i.e. NOTHING added by me from my old one, or anywhere else. Eventually checked in on L4u in hope. No button for PMs. Good luck, when you have time of course.

My PM button, miraculously or not so miraculously as I think Keefy manually fixed it, probably well over a year ago.

I was without the "New Message" icon so couldn't send or receive. I could get music when I got a message but that was all and then one day "Voila" it was all back.............go figure???

It takes a lot of time and effort to run a site this large and when things go wrong it takes time to remedy, have you checked your services TB to see if your PM service is turned on. Other than that it's a case of reporting and waiting for the engineers to check.

Maybe it is Brian, but don't you think I get rather peed off when I try my best to keep the site running optimal only to get some members throwing conspiracy theories at me if something does not work, what's wrong with just a straight forward post to say that the PM system or something else is not working for them?
