DJ Keefy

Unfortunately Keefy has had a motorbike accident - chased by a rabid looking dog - hit some sand and came off the bike. He's ok(ish) - his left knee is broken in 3 places and is therefore in a cast from his toes to his upper thigh.

He's at home and has just got a pair of crutches but isn't able to keep watch on the forum 24/7 - any reported post or PMs are not being ignored and will be dealt with as soon as he is able to get to the computer.

Any infringement of the forum rules will also be dealt with so please do not take this opportunity to start any 'wars'

Brian

Wow - not good. Bad enough to end up with a broken knee but the situation surrounding it doesn't sound good at all.

Get well soon Keefy!!

Hope he gets better soon!

And hope the animal charities in Luxor start vaccinating dogs for rabies rather than burying their head in the sand over the issue.

Take care keefy if there's anything I can do. I know you will be bored to tears but please don't start smoking again after you have done so well. X

It can be a bit of a problem to motorcyclists, the waste building material strewn across the streets, because people are too lazy to clean it up. Hope you get better soon Keith. I find a piercing horn puts these chasing dogs off.

Hope to see you hopping around Luxor soon!!!!

Sorry to hear about Keefy's accident, but anyone who ventures onto a motorbike in Luxor is asking for trouble. Stick to 4 wheels in future, preferably with somebody else driving. :wd:

Ouch! Hope your precious bike was okay. Don't envy you that cast in the heat. Make sure you get and do some physio after it comes off to get your strength back. Best wishes for a full and fast recovery. :br

:gw: Sorry to hear of your mishap, don't envy you in a caste out there especially one you won't be able to get to the itchy bit in! Keep the fluid intake up. :gw:

All motorbikes are safe, its the riders that are not, in a similar way all cars are safe, but the nut behind the steering wheel often becomes loose!

So sorry to hear this Keefy, seems you had a similar accident to me when I was around 25 years old. For once I forgot that you must always accept that the driver in front of you and behind you is an idiot, and therefore do not see you on a motorbike. It is always said, if you ride a bike, you must accept you will have an accident,...........you, like me are lucky,........we are still here.

Hope you get well soon,.......until then I shall try not to let some on here wind me up.
