Roy Chidwick has reported this afternoon, elsewhere on social media, that he is alive and well. He was about 5 miles away from today's 'incident' on a Tunisian beach.

back home now
armed guards on beach and roadside entrance so much like Luxor after Hatchepsut shootings many years ago
will be fine for a beach/pool sun holiday but restrictions on operator organised excursions
hotel emptying day by day and workers being laid off

We went there many years ago, to the Marhaba Royal Salem, which coincidentally is on a road named
Boulevard 7 Novembre My Birthday..
Lovely place, had my first encounter with the Bedouin’s there. It was going to be 40 years until my next encounter with them..
Good to see you are all well and good Chiddy.
What is it with all these countries that have had a revolution and now end up with their tourist industry in tatters ?
