To witness skilled practitioners of this art form you have to get out of Luxor.

In ten years, apart from private parties with Cairo stars, I have only seen two dancers on stage in Luxor who were trained artists knowing how to work with musicians. I know hundreds of women who can dance like them, but they perform for discriminating audiences who are willing to pay for the entrance.

One wiggled her 'charm' in front of me for money and I apologised and told her she was 'barking up the wrong tree' She didn't understand!

Belly dancing, just the porn of egypt and surely against Allahs laws ? Burkhas and bare bellies ? whats that then ??
