BREAKING: Russian Aviation Authority bans flights by Egypt Air lines to Russia

Russian aviation agency Rosaviatsia has banned flights by EgyptAir, Egypt's state-owned flag carrier, to Russia, effective Nov. 14, an official of the Moscow Domodedovo airport said on Friday.

Rosaviatsia declined to comment when contacted by Reuters.

This morning Egyptian aviation authorities handed over certain information with relation to the initial report from the planes black box. When asked by journalists whether western nations would get a copy, inc the French, and the American engine makers, the minister in question was reluctant to give an answer.

Further to this, we learn yesterday that The Israeli Secret Service was also involved in the detective work in solving who was responsible for this disaster.

In Britain, the government and airlines operating in Egypt, including BA, did not hold a news conference after their meeting earlier this week. I expect Cameron and Putin to have an of the record chat this week end, that may include a chat with Seb Coe, as a bargaining tool. .

Now, all of a sudden, we learn that Moscow has not given the Egyptian government any reason what so ever why all air services by EgyptAir have been stopped.

This whole thing is becoming a very sick pantomime .

New update, tomorrow's EgyptAir flight Cairo to Moscow has been cancelled at very short notice.

I would of thought by now they would have drawn some basic conclusions about what caused the downing. When the experts were finally given the go ahead to enter the area of wreckage of the plane brought down over Bosnia with a surface to air missile they knew what it was within four days. Perhaps they are keeping stum for a bigger reason.

One thing is absolutely clear, at this stage we should be certain of at least one thing that is second only in evidence to the black box, where such evidence should have now been obtained. I am surprised that this evidence has not been released by the Russian authorities, and certainly beggars belief.

When this aircraft left Sharm el Sheikh airport, we know exactly where each and every passenger sat, each and everyone of those bodies have been back in Russia for well over a week now. Full autopsies will have been carried out, which gives a hell of a lot of information, especially as to whether an explosion caused the crash, and if so, a fairly accurate position as to where this explosion occurred.

From how we see this disaster, we are not sure whether the aircraft manufacturer or engine maker, which I understand is Pratt & Whitney have been given any relevant information, being that, if a bomb did not cause this disaster, then it is vital that these such people should be informed, to carry out safety checks on other similar aircraft.

The Russians are being very polite here. They are getting their own people out of the area before starting WWIII.

I hope that I am not correct in this assessment of the situation!

As I have previously said on this forum sometime ago the Middle East will be regarded as a very Far East very soon. Britain and the rest of Europe, who now have to rely on cheap labour to compete with China, will become the new Middle East, and the Pacific will become the new Western so called civilisation, where cash is always king even in world wars.

I am confused. Russia say no planes are going to Egypt or from Egypt and yet on facebook there are plenty of pictures of Russians arriving in the red sea for their holidays. how are they all getting there?

A few via Ukraine etc get to Hurghada. As to any FB pictures, who's to say where and when they were taken?

No pictures on my facebook, it was on Omars, so all in Arabic, but he was confused hence showing them to me Ah well, not my business anyway
