Cant be bb as the new guest house is in the photo. Poetic licence obviously but I bet people will ask where the Nile went!

I bow to your intimate knowledge Nanny Ogg. I did not think to examine the buildings that closely, just the juxtaposition of Old Gurna and the Nile scene.

It was the good Drs comment about him being sat outside Mohamed Snake's that made me look closer. Made me quite nostalgic for the evenings sat o the steps watching the lights of the East Bank and star gazing. At our new place you have to wait for a power cut

Never sat there of an evening but have enjoyed a quiet drink and the odd lunch there in the past.

This is a picture taken off the film The Egyptian 1954, now if you look to the left of Hatshepsuit' temple, what is that because ?
I don't think it's there now or is it ? ....

Ps: It's not there now, just had a 'shufti through my telescope it seems to be about where Theodore Davis' Hse is situated..
