Christmas Day Joy

Post by Major Thom »

Oh for Christmas Day joy, woke this morning to the smell of a full English, bacon sizzling in the pan, eggs, pork sausage's and tomato's.

Christmas lunch on now, Turkey, Yorkshire Puds, Roasties, Sprouts, Mash with nutmeg, stuffing, devils on horseback, followed by trifle, and Christmas Mousse Cake.

Through the day, homemade Truffles, Peppermint and chocolate pancakes, scotch eggs, pork pies, sausage rolls, homemade baileys and homemade Advocaat, scrummy....

Tomorrow the diet starts.

We lost the football match 12-2. too much plum duff.

Tomorrow we get the ingredients fr New Years Clootie Dumpling, (brought across by friends) and the Haggis will be out of the fridge for New Years Day.

Looking forward to August when we can purchase good quality food again from the Ozzie Shops.

Just like the Danes, followed by dancing around the tree before opening gifts. Unless, of course, your relatives are busy with their families and you are alone again. Then you go to a boring party at a hotel, trying to forget that it is Christmas.
x:cry:

Anyway, I am off to Copenhagen and Oslo for leftovers - expecting Christmas brew, treats and presents to be reduced...
:br

From tomorrow, I can purchase quality food again and have champagne for breakfast every day, but there will be no sunripe fruit, vegetables or herbs.
