We think the past has now departed
Looking forward with a smiling face

The tourist joy will be abound
The Pharonic City opens up its treasure
For visitors to browse at leisure.

The Thebian Peaks are lit at night
So bring your camera, they look a delight
Walk along the Valley of the Kings
View their tombs, the awe they bring

Visit Karnak for the Sound and Light
The guided tour is a tourist’s delight
Afterwards stroll along the mighty Nile
The lights and sounds will make you smile

All year around the sun is shining
So a tan is assured if you’re are pining,
Relax at night in the coffee places
Meet the locals with friendly faces

Take a trip along the River
Come on people do not dither
The Sunset Cruise your dream fulfills
Watch it the sun rolling down the hills

A stroll through the Sook at your leisure
Buy local gifts for your pleasure
Papyrus pictures for your wall

I suppose we have to do our bit really, although I still knock the place for its ability to be in a time warp and progression seems to be terribly slow, it's still a decent place to live. I just wish that the powers that be would stop sending signals out that foreigners are welcome for a holiday, but are not welcome to live here. Let's put it this way if we are welcome to live here, then they need to either give us a clue has to what is happening or form a welcoming committee. By what I hear every one seems to be wanting to sell up and go, even though they will not admit it. However it's a good subject to talk about.

:shh: If noone wants to admit what you seem to know about everyone - what do you hear?

At one time I was very eager to sell and bank the cash, but now I have no intentions of selling. I decided, giving myself the time to really think about it and not let a knee jerk reaction rule my thoughts, that there is nowhere else that I would want to live. So I will stay in my home that I am comfortable in and just hope that in time all the scaremongering and suppositions will disperse.
