Re: The Cat in the Hat...
Well with all these so called ex-pats leaving I wonder where all the people came from last night.
The place was packed out and to be honest very few Brits probably well over a hundred 'ex-pats were gathered for an excellent night.
Mind you, I still have no recollection of how we returned home, so will have to ask my guests when they awake...
Ps: I wish to apologise for my behaviour, but for the life of me cannot remember why, except I have just been informed I fell over several times...
I blame the drink!

Re: The Cat in the Hat...
Returning to The Marsam for Sunday aperitifs all the staff could not stop imitating my 'despicable behaviour the previous night.
Even demonstrating me falling over and kissing a tree, good job I have little recollection...

One of me insuring the tree doesn't fall over, 'la whaala!
Top Tip: Do not consume 2 x bottles of Obelisk on an empty stomach..

What are friends for Who2?If not to make sure you get home safe after enjoying a good night out and celebrating New Year!
As for some imitating your "despicable"behaviour...well,I've always found that there's aye some who are always more interested in ridicule..."let he who is without sin cast the first stone"etc.
My main surprise in your pics is not so much the fact you're supporting a tree.
It's more the fact that people there are wearing parkas, scarves and hats!
In Luxor?
Just how cold is it there?

Re: The Cat in the Hat...
Night time in winter ? bloody cold unless of course you are Brian Yare...
Ps: This morning at 5am it was + 5o Celsius (°C) or 41 Fahrenheit (°F) , probably quite warm for a tourist or from the North of Watford.

Re: The Cat in the Hat...
I must level the playing field here, I know, I think, I had a brilliant night the other night, I think, But my mates who went to Sherherazade in Gizera said,
"they had a great night so thank's Hatusu, 'hope they were better behaved than I was ?..
Ps: Yeh! I hear they had braziers down there, we didn't cheapskates....

Why were you outside at 5am? Going to the mosque?Who2 wrote:Night time in winter ? bloody cold unless of course you are Brian Yare...![]()

We have had a couple of cool nights, but as I am usually in my room by midnight and don't leave before 9am except on special occasions I would not be affected.
But it is much warmer this evening, and with no wind.
