I booked a flight with Easy Jet for the 13th April 2016, from Hurghada to Gatwick, just been informed that it has been cancelled. No reason given.

Carrie, I just ran a check on your departure date, and guessed a return date. Both are coming up on the Easyjet website. So either they have made a mistake in contacting you or they have not updated their website to reflect the cancellation. I read earlier that there are some good prices for Egyptair in April so it may be worth checking there.

Ask Bombay he knows why flights are cancelled and why they are not. On one of his posts if flights are booked to fly they will not get cancelled. So make a check like Hhepzi says it could just be a mistake.

Thanks Hepzibah, I hate Heathrow and it so inconvenient for where I want to go that's why I didn't want to use Egyptair. I have found another flight and just waiting now for Easyjet to get back to me about a refund.

I can understand about the Heathrow vs Gatwick for convenience, although in my case Heathrow is preferable but most flights I need to take are from Gatwick.

I hope you pointed out to Easyjet that they are still advertising the flight you had booked, even after they had cancelled your booking.
