Nice to see this will finally happen. It's always intrigued me when driving past. It's important that they are recognising and valuing their modern history, not just the phaoronic.

Interesting article.....but a grim example of the nonsense bandied about and then used to fill several column inches.
There is something horribly awry with the communication channels in Egypt.

Absolutely. I posted it to draw attention to the building which many tourists are unaware of as it is not pharaonic. Some may like to put it on their "to do" list, even though it's not open, especially returnees looking for something different. You used to be able to get in with baksheesh to the guardian, but I've never had time, and that probably doesn't happen now.

I would love to visit, one time I did get to stand on the road and look at it, dilapidated, crumbling, bet it was wonderful in it's day.
