Organised by a right English eccentric 'nutter adventurer & writer Robert Twigger,
6 of us and three Senussi Bedu from Dakala.
Clementine and I spent many weeks wandering around the middle of nowhere but close to Libya & a bit of Sudan.
So I was informed....
We became firm friends she was also 7 months pregnant, not a problem for a Camel.
If I whistled she would appear as if by magic. Always ready for a biscuit secreted in my pocket.
I fell in love with that 'jamal.
Months later returning to Dakala to meet the lads and their families and of course the camel herds
and to visit Clem and her new baby..
Like any good Mum she tried to bite me....
Ps: One day I will return again, we have to go into The Great Sea Sand for some green glass for a sculpture 'Big Nose is planning.
'Anyhow I'm writing this because I'm indoors slowly acclimatising, it's the wrong month to visit home...
'trust me I'm a Dr................'who?
