Unfortunately it has not been possible for me to be in Egypt this past year.
A friend in London has asked me to enquire as to the situation regarding Wadi El Gharbi. This has been official a closed area for the past two years now, but we know there was serious activity about six months ago, by a team sent down from Cairo. An area near the far end of the Wadi, known as 'the false door' was carefully studied in a similar fashion to that which was carried out at the far end of the Monkey Valley a few years ago.
I know a number of long stay visitors to Luxor WB are quite energetic walkers, and enjoy this area, and although do not comment on this site, view it to keep up with local news, when in Luxor. The question is, has any one noticed new activity in the past couple of months.
A simple P.M. would be sufficient.
Wadi El Ghabi.
