A match made in heaven.
Me & Clerkenwell...
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Clerkenwell

There is no more famous or even infamous part of old London Town.
From John Milton, Daniel Defoe, Keat's, Blake, Dicken's, Dr Johnson
we all loved Clerkenwell even Karl Marx resided here.
the list of past & present locals is endless,
I should be so lucky to walk where they walked and to drink where they drank.
Here's a piece I recently found: by Daniel Defoe..

"A Woman that to a whore-monger is wed,
is in a most desperate case:
She scarce dares performe her duty in bed,
with one of condition so base:
For sometimes hee’s bitten
with Turnmill Street Fleas,
The Pox, or some other infectious disease.

Wherever I walk round my manor, I walk in the footsteps of history.
My 'artistic, type community, charitable, rave, gangster type club/venue in Turnmill St,
The Tardis ticked all the Clerkenwell requirements, It was a home, a community, of like-minded minds and everybody there wanted to be a winner,
they strove to be better to achieve the best that was within them, this I promoted big time...

And besides hosting some of the best ever parties in London...

When I managed to acquire 15,000sq feet of Turnmill St on three floors I never realised the historical attachments to this area, later finding out my gaff was situated on a once infamous photographic/porn 1950's studio.
Within was 1 floor below ground, one at ground level and the our roof bar and chill-out space.
Once on a mad night we had three live bands on 3 stages and over 800 guests never to be repeated. ever!

Great things come and great things go, it's all to do with timing, we came, we partied, we left a trace...
Bowie came to us we never went to Bowie that's how f***in cool we were.

"Bowieart.com is pleased to announce, Window Pain Project, an off-line project in partnership with the Tardis window space that will further increase the profile of a selection of young, fresh and talented artists currently given space"

Last week yesterday in fact I went to the three kings and they were filming a car chase in-front of the pub, that's Clerkenwell, weird fashionable type people with weird stupid dogs all drinking stupid coffees, personally I think they are missing the point that Clerkenwell is bigger than they ever will be.

'Counting down the Day's'........
Difficult day today, deciding where one should luncheon.
Whist waiting for my dry cleaning..
Finally decided upon al fresco dining outside Cafe Pistou, 'people watching..

That prat Pete 'Babyshambles Doherty used to live upstairs until the flats caught on fire one night. 'shambles being correct...
Very nice lunch mostly expensive fishy finger food with a few glasses of vino, the Sun tried it best to shine upon the 'wickeed...but failed miserably.

Only spotted 4 so called celebs, Griff Rhys Jones sporting a very expensive overcoat,
chatted with a few passing friends and my Scottish mate Ruaraidh Murray, who thinks he's Sean Connery's son.
he's an actor well sort of, he was a better barman but he tries hard....
phpBB [video]

Can't wait to return to some useful work and some sun, see y'all soon... 8) spit!

Ps: Here's a bit from Brond on Youtube it's Rury's first film part, it's 2.40sec in. It was also John's first film another old pal..
phpBB [video]

And it's Stratford John's who does the pushing.
I also introduced John to Ruaraidh 12 years later in my bar. Weird or what?

No he is the leader of the Labour Party over here, the the party of the poor people that's why he rides a bike.
I once rode a Boris bike around the capital, never again fu**ing death traps, taxis are best....8)
Ps: Iv'e never heard a bad word against him other than he's nut's like the rest of us..
I back that fact up by stating: We, Islington's rich & poor have had him as our Member for Parliament for 30 years...
oh! and he's never robbed us...perhaps that's why his 'piers worry about him a little thing called integrity..

Just watched a programme on ITV yesterday. Janet Street-Porter talking about her houses and, of course, the one in Clerkenwell.

Celebrity Home Secrets - Episode 3 - The ITV Hub

I am currently scripting 'A Walk through my Manor.
'er indoors is slowly driving me mad! We are eating, drinking and smoking more,
Oh! yeh, and get short-tempered with each other more.
We are starting to play tennis ready for 'non Wimbledon, it's in our lounge.
My compadre and I used to play it in our cell using those underarm roll-ons as tennis balls
and stolen plastic dinner plates carved handles and all.

Anyhow, I have decided to take her on a historical tour of the Manor, she will take the pictures and I will do
all the rabbiting, I'm good at that, I once did a charitable tour being heckled at the rear by two
slightly inebriated actors. Mates of mine..

And to top it all I found this forgotten topic....
15668
Just who is/was that man ? with no mask on, 'arf arf... 8)

Ps: One landing 'screw (officer) stole us real tennis bats and balls from their club-house. lol.
Oh! the inmate on the landing below us, Brian Palmer of 'Brinks Mat fame,
thought we were trying to 'make-one (an escape) tap-tap..ffs..
