If you think that's odd, then Dubai that's the whole Country sponsored Channel 4 Sports, Crabbies' Grand National...

Ps: No 4 legged magnificent animals died or were even injured during the filming of this event,
head injuries to Irish midget jockeys goes with the territory. It's an
'OIrish ting
Pss: Great race, Irish Horse, Irish Jockey, Irish Trainer, Irish Owner, Irish Airline, it's an
'Orish ting!

The jockey was 18 yrs old, on his first Grand National ride and he rode with great skill and a far less than average thrashing of the animal.
I was wondering if the jockey still gets 10% of the purse as it did in my day - if so about £180,000 will look good in his insurance and pension pot. I hope so.

The only horse race I used to bet on, I remember my son had 2s and 6d on Red Rum and he insisted on betting on the same horse next year despite everyone telling him that the same horse never won twice.
