A nature photograph a day.
One of the trends on Facebook at the moment is to be nominated to post a different photograph each day showing a scene from nature, and nominating someone else to take up the challenge too. I thought it would be interesting to do something similar here. I will start the ball rolling and nominate all L4U members to join in and share a photograph too.

It is the interest that a particular picture may generates, not how recently it was taken

Re: A nature photograph a day.
I have thousands of photographs. If I had not put the date on this one it could have been taken yesterday as far as you were to know. The first photograph I posted in this thread was taken in 2007! I'm actually enjoying the challenge because it is encouraging me to look back through my albums at photographs I have taken, and it is also bringing back many memories - mostly happy, although some sad, but all a part of my life.
Scottishtourist, perhaps you could turn some of your negative energy into something positive and share some of your own nature photographs.

Ah, so picture posting is back in vogue on here.
The photo comps seem so long ago.
This was one of our three evening dog fox visitors at 18.49 this evening. They take food, usually jam sarnies, table scraps, or even the odd rabbit. They are feeding their vixens and cubs at the moment.

Friends on E4U will know all about my fox and badger visitors.......are you looking in Fran and Barry?

I store my photo's on Picassa how do I transfer them to here?
Re: A nature photograph a day.
I store on Picassa too. I use the 'export' tool on it as my photographs are usually too big for transfer to Luxor4U. You can set the photograph to fit the required perimeters for sharing here i.e. max size. Once you've got the photograph in your Picassa Export File you can add it to here.carrie wrote:I store my photo's on Picassa how do I transfer them to here?
To load to here: Go to Gallery > Personal Gallery > Upload > Select photo (this will take you to your own photo files) > Select the photo you want. You should then see the code for it on the L4U box. > Continue which should finish the upload.
To insert in to a post: When you have got your L4U post open click on Gallery. Go to the photo you want to include. Click on Insert, it will then show a small message 'photo inserted' (or something like that). Close that and you will see your post with a code in it - that is your photo. You can always use Preview to check it.
Hope that helps. It's not that easy trying to explain these things. I'm sure there is a better explanation somewhere on here - possibly in the Suggestions (under help!) .

Carrie, having given you my garbled instructions, I've just checked in Suggestions and Help. The first three topics cover it all.

Nope just not working for me.
Re: A nature photograph a day.
@Carrie: I have posted a new thread (rather lengthy) description for uploading pictures from Picasa.
