Is It Just Me?

Is it just me? I watched “Behind Enemy Lines” again yesterday on Egyptian tv for the umpteenth time. So why is it, when I know the ending and I know every scene, that Im still on the edge of my chair with my hands clenched with stress, worrying that the helicopters wont get to him in time – worrying that he’ll be left behind, worrying that he’ll get shot at the last minute. The same with Argo, another great film Ive watched countless times, but that still has me scared to death with the mob scenes, holding my breath when they are are being interrogated at the airport, and only relaxing and heaving a sigh of relief when they are out of Iranian airspace.
Is it because Im blonde? Or is everybody like this because they are such good films?
PS And dont get me started on The Shining! Talk about hiding behind the settee.

Love the Shining, I hear that they are going to do a re-make. As for your emotional response to the same old same old film, perhaps its just down to you being an emotional person. I get very emotional when I see MBC are showing any film for the twentieth time, I sit there effing and blinding at the TV.

I remember going to stay at the Old Cataract Hotel in Aswan some years ago. The place was empty it was just like The Shining, next time I stayed it was in the pavilion wing.

No...not just you. Never get tired of seeing the rescue scene with the helicopters. Great film.
