i think it is time that we set up a new game on here, with an annual 1st prize of one of those (one size fits all) L4U T-shirts given to the person who can post first news of as many so called celebrity's death, but at the same time may lose points if the majority of the senior forum believe said dead celebrity is insufficiently important.

Being that each New Year celebrations usually brings a whole batch of deaths in the celebrity market, and this year seems to be probably a bumper year, so may I suggest we get this show on the road quickly.

Here in the U.K. these days we are bombarded with T.V. adds that we should all join a funeral insurance scheme, cancer adverts to tell us how lucky we are not to have it,.......YET, then there are these God knows how many crack-pot charities who are none too shy at requesting £15 from every poor sod in the country who is over 55 years old, therefore seen as a soft touch. To crown it all these days, the media inform us of how near to our own deaths we are, with the passing of others who maybe younger than our selves, and that we should feel grateful that the grim reaper has not come knocking at our door,......today.

This week I learnt through this forum that a lady I knew quite well in Luxor had died, yes it made me very sad, but then it made me smile when I remembered the numerous happy occasions we had during our many long conversations around a swimming pool or over an evening drink. :wi . This news, as I have written brought me sadness but also a smile, but with these other who I read of, famous as they are, I am requested to simply feel very sad, though without a smile, but how can I,.......I never knew them.

Many people these days are expected to live and enjoy life well into their 80's, for many on here that means another 25 years,.......remember life is for living. :wi :wi :wi .

And fiver for Yeman, who we supply bombs to the Countries killing the people, sounds to me A about F. Once you give they will always come back for more, sounds familiar. I know of someone close to me who wanted to take my wall down for the bricks to build a new wall at the side of their home, Dare not repeat what i said, but the rant went on for ages, and it all started from helping them once. i bet they sit around a fire at night trying to find another way of getting money out of myself and wife. We give with a free heart but when its expected the river runs dry.

Most people are already dead, the TV News, Newspapers and life in general quickly cause the demise of many a good soul.
As I once heard, "If the thorn of a rose is the thorn in your side, then you're better of dead if you have not yet died. :rs

Remember What Eric said, Always look on the bright side of life... :D

You only have the one life, live each day as if it's your last, because one day it will be. :br And by Christ I will have a shed load of questions I will need answering at the pearly gates, including the WiFi Password..... :up
